Lasagna

Brown 1 1/2 – 2 lbs hamburger season with chopped onion, salt and pepper.

Sauce – (enough for a 9×13 inch pan and a 9×9 inch pan)

Brown 2 medium onions (minced) in 6 T olive oil.

Add

1/2 tsp sweet basil

1 tsp oregano

2 bay leaves

2 garlic buds (minced)

salt and pepper to taste

2 cans whole tomatoes

2 cans tomato paste

2 cans tomato sauce

Heat sauce and add cooked hamburger.

Cook 1 medium package lasagna noodles according to package instructions.

Cheese filling -

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 carton cottage cheese

In a 9x 13 inch pan assemble starting with 1/3 of the meat sauce, layer 1/3 of the noodles, 1/2 of the cheeses, 1/3 of the meat sauce, 1/3 of the noodles, 1/2 of the cheeses, 1/3 of the noodles and the rest of the meat sauce.

Top with at least 3 ounces Parmesan Cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
