Strawberry Shortcake

2 cups flour

1 T baking powder

2 T sugar

1/2 cup margarine

2/3 cup 1/2 & 1/2

1 egg

2 T margarine (melted)

Combine flour, baking powder and sugar cut in margarine with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sir in egg. Add 1/2 & 1/2 to flour mixture, stir with fork until a soft dough forms.

Pat dough into greased 8 inch cake pan. Brush with melted margarine.

Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes until golden brown.

To serve cut in squares and spoon strawberries over top.
